Reportedly, Evangeline Lilly was the leading choice to play Lois Lane in the upcoming Superman movie, but she turned it down due to a "previous commitment," presumably Lost. I for one would much rather see her continue her role on Lost than to quit for some movie that will only last a couple of hours, even if it is a coveted role like Lois Lane.
Natalie Portman was also considered but bowed out, so now I guess they're looking at Claire Danes, Kate Bosworth, and Elisha Cuthbert.
There is one movie she had time for, though, and it's bound to be an emmy-winning performance. You can see Evangeline Lilly playing a dead body in the upcoming movie, The Long Weekend, which is currently in post-production.
