It could be worse. You could start ripping through all the images like Joxcee does, or the Imp could threaten to lick you. I read somewhere that dogs lick people as a sign of submission. Does it work the same way for Imps? BTW stepper, I notice you've lost your Avatar. Did it get so confused it doesn't know where to go for proper display or did it just get so confused with all the changes it's hiding? [Added] Fascinating ... Before I posted my Avatar was one image. After posting it was another. Looks like someone is getting a little catty ...

Imp licks are strictly a matter of taste. The only submission is on the part of her prey.
Stepper's avatar has been missing since Christmas. Maybe not that long. Spring possibly? Since the last upgrade? It's been a long time.

That could be dangerous. I'm sure I'm pretty tasty. Au contraire! Unlike how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie roll (cherry and grape are favorites by the way) I last much longer than a mere three licks. She'll surrender first and disolve into her next holiday temptation out of gratitude for my tollerance of allowing her surrender to my least whim!
Nothing as fancy as a Harry Potter portrait. In fact, it's right there in front of you. The way the board works now you cannot 'not have' an icon. Mine was especially designed by FBM - a single pixel.

Actually, Stepper. I have it set up now so that the clear pixel is the default avatar. When anyone joins the board they get the clear pixel. It's much easier to use it for your avatar that way. It's so tiny that it's really hard to click on among the avatar list.

Hmm, I'm no longer a Feline. Guess the Avatars are going to the dogs now ...

Spock If you ever visit the Dog Star, you know you'll fit right in. Mini Mia Drink more water. You're dehydrating. And take a nap. You've been reading all of Phalons' spooky stuff and now you need a break.

stepper: Really? I always assumed it was the weather messing with my sinuses. Took half a Sudafed. The last time I took a whole one I woke up to an Earthquake on two occasions, only it was me doing the shaking, and not the Earth. The Sudafed worked, mostly. I'll take the other half tonight to finish it up.
Spock: What's this you speak of? The forum became possessed. I had nothing to do with it. Really. It seems you hired an Exorcist to rid the forum of its demons.

I shall also drink water. I'll also try to remember to try just water next time. Mom goes to the Kidney Clinic tomorrow, so I'll experiment when I don't have things to do, and places to be.

Wait - you didn't mention that you were also experiencing chemically induced reactions.
Yes, dehydrating can cause the problem you mentioned, so can blood pressure changes which can be affected by insufficient fluid intake. (Actually, I'd prefer you drank a Gastoraide.) I'm guessing the dizziness is causing the nausea, but it's possible that either something in the air or even an infection of some sort could be the ultimate cause.
In any case, I hope all goes well with you and your mom.

The "Earthquake" happened quite a while ago. I think maybe last year. At least a few months ago It wasn't recent. But okay. I'm drinking water right now. I did happen to have some Gatorade powder in the pantry once. Don't know if I still have it or threw it out.
I've also had problems with runny eyes. Never knew all of this could be due to dehydration.

Okay. I found an unopened container of Lemon-Lime Gatorade, and I'm now drinking a tall glass of it. Don't ask how long it's been in the back of the pantry. Or for the expiration date. I used to drink the stuff most every night ... until I counted up how many calories I was consuming, and then I stopped drinking it.

We could start a club, Joxie - the SSC (Sinus Sty Club). Had horrid sinus issues a month or so ago too, and developed a sty. Frequent and very hot - as hot as I could stand it - compresses got rid of the sty, and helped the sinus pressure too.
Feel better.
(Aw, good bye, Imp. I shall miss you.)

I've been doing hot cloths on it, but not enough it seems. I only do that every now and again. Guess I should do it more often, and every day. My bad.

Sties are caused by a staph infection and would not cause the symptoms you described.
Many other things could, but getting and staying hydrated is good for you even if not the real reason you're having problems. Gatorade is more than just flavored fluids and can also be beneficial. In all honesty if you've been drinking water and resting, you should be feeling a bit better. But a month is a bit long for an external sty. (I take it this thing is a bit painful. If it's not, it might be a common lid lump called a chalazion. Yes, I had to double check the spelling on that one.) You might want to consider calling your doctor to ask for confirmation.

I mentioned the sty as a separate thing. I go to my Primary doctor in two weeks. If I can't get rid of it by then I plan on telling her about it. It does hurt. Yesterday my eye starting looking/feeling bruised. I don't know if it's the sty or my pressing the rag over my eye too hard. I run the hot water until it reaches it's highest temp, and it doesn't solve the problem. Figure I'll mircowave some water and see how that goes. I don't think I'll want to use water from the coffeepot.
I'm going to mention my 'theory' of carpal tunnel syndrome to her too.

Joxie, microwave a wet wash cloth for about 12-15 seconds; it'll be hot, hot, so handle it carefully. Gently hold it to your eye - taking care it's not so hot, it'll burn; hold it there until it's only warm. Then do it again. Repeat every 3-4 hours.
My co-worker worked his way through college by working in a textile factory. He'd frequently get sties from the tiny particles of fiber flying around in the air - just like the pollen flying around that ends up in my eyes; bacteria gets in there from frequently rubbing your eye, (or in the case of allergies, wiping them because they're watery or itchy). I get them almost every year during hayfever season; this year I couldn't seem to get rid of it. He told me what I just mentioned about microwaving the compress, and my sty was gone within two days - the trick is hot (not mediocrely hot), and very frequent.

I put some water in a glass bowl and microwaved it for 45 seconds, but it wasn't hot enough, I don't guess. I heated it up a couple more times. I put on my kitchen gloves. I got the water so hot I could only barely touch the edge of the rag to the sty ... and then gradually covered more area. I did that a few times, and then I had to go run my errands. Haven't done it again. I'm watching TV now, so it's probably a good time to do another treatment.
