This thread is closing. Start a new thread? Move to an existing thread? What's it going to be?

I think it's really up to Phalon, but this is a convenient stopping point for things that don't comfortably fit elsewhere. Spock Isn't oil coffee for vehicles? Black, thick, and it's best when heated.

That would be like having a Dodge Charger without the charge! A Mustang without horsepower!!! Or a VW Bug...hhmmm....that's a larva?
It's not up to me at all. I may have started it, but it's an everybody/everything thread. It really doesn't matter as long as like Stepper said, there's a place to shoot the breeze with no particular topic in mind.

It matters not to me. There is already one topic in here with over 1,786 posts, so we have a way to go in this one before getting there. I made my suggestion in a previous post about what to do if you want to close this one but still have a similar place to talk.

Bug - your reaction to stepping on the gas peddle and it goes "Oh, I'll think about it." It bugs you, no? Or when, in the middle of winter, you turn on the heater (snicker) and wonder why you still need several layers of clothing. Maybe we should keep it going until one of us has a definitive feeling on the subject. Our land lines went out a week ago. I called it in and they said they'd have someone here on Tuesday, except it didn't happen. Wednesday and Thursday and still nothing. Thursday evening I called again and got a person who said there had been a major problem with a cable and many people were without phone lines. They were getting people back up but the project wasn't expected to be done until Sunday evening. Friday I'm sitting at the computer and the phone in the bedroom rings. My first call in a week and it's a fricking "I'm John with Texas State Police Benevolence Association and we're..." 'Thanks for letting me find out my phone is working, but I NEVER donate to anyone who calls.' Then I realized my kitchen phone didn't ring. Somehow the line to the kitchen is dead, but the line in the bedroom is woking. I've called a friend who knows about phones and wiring. He doesn't live near here, but said send him a couple pictures via text and he'll let me know if he sees anything. Oh joy. If I have to call the AT&T people, they want $99 just to come and look at it.
