I just posted that because it's one of the numbers. 4 8 15 16 23 42 There have been some theories floating around the internet that the numbers might be references to the Bible. People have seen 23 in all kinds of places, including watches, where it is 23 minutes past the hour, so a lot of people think that 23 is one of the most notable of all the 'special' numbers. Psalm 23:I wonder if it's coincidence, or if TPTB threw the number 23 into the sequence because it's the 'funeral Psalm.'

I think I recall one of the creators claiming that the actual numbers used don't really mean anything (although he could have said that to throw people off track). So it seems possible that they could have looked for a passage in the Bible that had one of the numbers (and hit on 23) to make fans think they were right about the numbers meaning something... Or 23 could have stood for the 23rd Psalm all along. BTW, in case you don't stumble across it right away, I started a thread for you in OT.
