Hi Tribe! I know you don't visit the survivor forum but I just wanted to tell you it was in fact confirmed that ole Hatch had a fire going the first day by himself ...... here's the article. Up the Hatch New York Daily News Sunday, May 16, 2004 Original "Survivor" Richard Hatch, the cunning strategist who took home the million-dollar prize on the show's debut season, apparently pulled out all the stops to gain an advantage on this year's "Survivor: All-Stars." "Richard smuggled matches on to the island in a vial [inside his person]," fellow all-star Kathy Vavrick-O'Brien told us. "He totally cheated!" Hatch, best known for his nudist proclivities, was one of the first to be voted off the all-star showdown set in Panama's Pearl Islands. Other contestants were ready to snipe about Hatch's anatomy at last week's wrap party at Suede sponsored by US Weekly. "The backside was much worse than the front," grimaced Lex Van Den Burghe, who came in third place on "Survivor: Africa." "One gander at that thing was more than I could handle. He didn't even have to bend over." "It's pretty small," added Shii Ann Huang of "Survivor: Thailand." Hatch wasn't immediately available to defend his honor. Irene

Thanks Halona but you didn't tell me jujunee showed up! ;D Hi jujunee, I saw your post over on the Survivor Forum. I hope you enjoy your concert. Are tickets expensive? Is anyone a Lee Ann Rimes fan? She is having a concert on Oxygen Sunday evening at 10 pm and she has Diana DeGarmo on. {remember she was the runner up on American Idol}. I told you she reminded me of Lee Ann Rimes. Irene

Hi Irene,
Is that a scolding smilie? Just wait till I have more time to explore that smilie box!!
I'm not sure of the ticket prices. They were a gift for my birthday. The Indigo Girls do try to keep their prices reasonable.
Hi Halona,
Welcome to the tribe!
Have a nice evening everyone!
Peace, J

Hi everybody. LB has to get a password and she hasn't yet. Jujunee I hope you enjoyed your concert. I am just trying to get my dept ready to be without me for a couple of weeks after my surgery. They are a good group, but verrry dependent. I'll have to check out Leann Rimes so I can see Diana Degarmo.

Hi Everyone!! just checking in- I've been occassionally lurking trying to figure out things with this new board. Thankfully this board loads and moves much quicker for my computer than the e z board did- maybe I will come by more soon lol.
Btw I see that there is a seperate chat area - how do you know when someone is there and is there still a near nightlyl chat session?
ok I'll pop back in again soon- the boards look great! Keep up the good work.

Btw I see that there is a seperate chat area - how do you know when someone is there and is there still a near nightlyl chat session? You can start a thread and announce that you're in the chatroom... and then again when you've left the chatroom...
You can also post the annoucement that you're in the private chatroom here. If you open the chatroom in a new window, you can set it up (if it isn't already by default) so that you can hear a musical sound when someone else enters the chatroom. So just go into the chatroom with one window... and surf the board with other windows, and when someone pops in you'll hear a tune of your choice.
The chatroom links listed on this board don't go directly into the chatrooms... that's because you have to be logged into your MSN passport account before you're allowed inside... so those links go to pages that allow you to click on "sign in"... then you can return and click on the links that take you into the chatrooms. Click on them and check them out and see how it works.

Hey tribe!
The concert was fantastic! We saw a friend from college and she smuggled us to the 4th row. If anyone went to that concert and saw that crazy women in the 4th row, who's spirit was overcome by the music......it was me! <lol>
You all know June is gay pride month!! Or at least you'd better know! We went to celebrate gay pride with my brother and his boyfriend this weekend. What a great time we had! Pride parade, with a rally after, and a festival all weekend. It was very empowering. I must say it was the MOST political gay pride I have experienced and it made me very happy. Finally we're catching on!!! We do have political clout!
Get *out* the vote!
Peace, J

Hi jujunee, So glad you had a great time at the concert. How many times have you seen the Indigo Girls now? Was Friday you're actual date of your birthday? I can imagine the gay pride rally was very political this year--especially. I've heard that even the Republicans don't agree on the platform Bush is taking on it. I'm glad it all went well. Did you march? Irene

Hi Irene! We have seen the Indigo Girls in concert 3 times now. And I just learned they will be on our cruise in the fall!!!! My partner and I were just talking about how great it would be if they were on the cruise, and now they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That Thursday was not the actual date of my birthday, it was earlier in the month. We usually march, but this year we watched the parade. It was great to see the various groups participate. Lots of groups and floats supporting gay marriage. Did anyone else do anything for gay pride month? Peace, J

Hi jujunee, We can put your birthdate on our calendar so we know ahead of time. Let us know! That's neat that the IG's will be on your cruise. Are you going in August? Maybe you'll get to talk to them if they are around. I didn't do anything for gay pride month except follow the news about same sex marriages and try to understand how it will figure into the campaign. I am trying to find out more information about the Green Party candidate who wouldn't nominate Nader but choose another person instead. What I don't understand is why all those running can't be given equal time....but I realize it's all money driven/special interests which isn't exactly fair. THE AMAZING RACE begins Tuesday night folks! It's on at 9:30 ET which is an odd time. Any couple pop out to you? Not a bad lineup. We shall see! www.cbs.com/primetime/amazing_race5/Irene

Tonight is the AMAZING RACE!
I heard some snippets about it all. They have some new stuff this season like a team using a "yield"! And instead of a 50,000 mile 'around the world' race - it's over 75,000 miles. And they are making them go to various climates this time. Look out for the bowler moms, folks. They say this is a competitive/diverse group. Irene

some AR music for us here! ;D www.tarflies.com/tar.mp3 I must say last night was a whirlwind start for the race! ;D And I wasn't even thinking that it was going to be 90 minutes. There are some interesting couples in this race to say the least. I was kinda disappointed that David Duchovney and his girlfriend were the first to go! The bowling moms were tough too! And the little person. I kept thinking they were going to get a bad break but they didn't! The part I thought is not fair is making them carry 100 pounds of meat. The women have a disadvantage there! I loved the idea of the two planes leaving and them not realizing the second plane got to the destination first. Also very tricky to put two clue spots so close together to get teams confused. What can i say except I loved it! Irene

Hi everyone. I loved the Amazing Race. I will say I can't stand the brothers, is it Marshall and Lance. I like the bowler moms and the little person and her cousin. When she carried that meat, I almost stood up and cheered. It made me laugh too, when her cousin is it myrna? wanted to play a hand of blackjack before they went to the pit stop. lol I am looking forward to this one. I think it will be highly entertaining and very interesting.
I am home until July 13th recovering from my gallbladder surgery, I am sore but healing. They gave me some disgusting pics of my innards instead of my gallstones. I do not have nice looking insides. LOL
Take care.

Oh so you had your surgery? How long were you in the hospital? I don't think anyone has beautiful insides. I'm sure you could use the rest, though. Maybe you can get the doctor to extend your time off! Are you up and getting around?
I don't have the names down of the teams. But they sure seem like an interesting bunch. I liked how the four final teams they kept you in suspense as to who was walking up to the pitstop. So there are 13 legs and 8 of them are elimination rounds! This otta be good!

Hi Irene. It was outpatient. They actually took me earlier that morning than expected. I was in agony from the gas they used. I just kept yelling it was so bad. Pain killers would not help with that. I have never been in such pain in my whole life. I took off the bandages today and there are these steri strips over the four incisions. I am sorest at my belly button, but getting much better every day. I should be going back to work on July 14th.
Yes this Amazing Race is going to be fun to watch.
