Dang, did I miss the party? Ah well, I'll just grab my seat in the corner and have a quick beer please.
Dixie, glad to hear you're on the mend...and your hubs too, Xengab. For your sake I hope he doesn't have that male-whine thing going on.
Welcome, Ces.
Had a great day today, hope you all did too.

Guess I missed the party too. Just as well. Hafta work early tomarrow. I think we are about to loose another Store Director. That will make four in just a hair over a year.
Phalon- did you enjoy the cookies? Should be getting sleepy any minute now. (Mwwhahahaha!) Damn...hope those were the right cookies......
*grabs usual seat by the hearth and settles down to stare dazedly into the fire*
Night all. Hope everyone has a great day tomarrow.

Hi y'all <flops into comfy chair with a ham sandwich> Just grabbing some lunch I learned how to say my name in sign language and a few choice swear words from my summer school kids today...little darlings. I missed the party too last night , although I was out having a few drinks with some friends so that was nice. Hope everyone's having a good day. dixie

Hi Eirene!Have another cherban-jiuce on me.Is that a drink you have invented? Hi xengab! No, i havn´t invented this drink. Its a german juice mix , you can get him in every pub. The name is [shadow=red,left,300]KiBa[/shadow] (Kirsch - cherries and Banane - banana ) I´ve only translatet him. You take a normal glass and fill it half with cherry juice and first than the rest with banana juice. Its very importend, because the banana juice is heavier as the cherry juice. And both [glow=red,2,300]MUST[/glow] be very cold. If you have mixed him, than must be waterpearls on the glass - so cold must that be. N-joy the drink! it taste Eirene

Hobs - ham and mustard, naturally! Eirene - can I just say that we call the water on the outside of a really cold glass 'condensation'...but 'waterpearls' is such a beautiful alternative that I'm going to use that from now on! I'll have a Jack Daniels and coke while I'm here I think, have just watched Carly Patterson's amazing gymnastics performance at the Olympics...she so deserved gold...it was pant-wettingly exciting! It will be a quick drink though as my cat is staging a protest on my keyboard because she hasn't been fed... dixie Edited out spoilers

Pie, ham sammies, and chocolate milk. This is definitely the area I should hang out in when I feel like blowing my wad at the grocery store.
Has anyone noticed that the weather's getting quite cold? Phalon perhaps. Maybe yall are already discussing this. I cant say that Im quite caught up with the Tavern.
Someone needs to make coffee today for sure. Guess it's gonna be me. I went to bed after 5 last night and I have a feeling I'll be paying dearly toward the end of my shift.

Hi everyone! Dixie, BTW, i know that you call it "condensation" This word also exist so in german. but at a drink "waterpearls" sounds more poetry, or what do you say?! Or du sit on a bar, look in the eyes from a beautyful woman and say "your glass has a nice condensation!" It sound better to say " the waterpearls on you glass glimmering like the diamonds in your eyes!" Xengab, the cherban will taste you. Believe me. `til tomorrow. Have a good night everybody here! ;o)) Eirene

Hey Hobbs.........it was 95 today. I should have worn a coat with my shorts. Think fall will ever get here? Eirene- I absolutely love the water pearls thing. If someone said that to me I'd get all gushy. And trust me I never get all gushy. Phalon hasn't been around since she had some of my cookies.......maybe they worked to well. Think I'll have a Chamboard, and I'll buy a Jack and COKE for Dixie if she stops by tonight. Unless of course it's choco milk night.

Hi everyone I'm nursing a hangover today so I'm just going to sit with my head on the bar and groan... Scrappy - I think I'll pass on the Jack as I managed to obliterate myself with it last night! But I'll keep it on hold if that's ok, I'm bound to be in need of it in the next couple of days. hope everyone's having a good weekend, I'm hoping for once it won't rain tomorrow as I'm having a bbq...so if you hear of an explosion somewhere in the Cambridge area its me getting happy with the lighter fuel... laters dixie

Hi Eirene. Thanks for the coffee offer, but I'll have to pass. It's 1 am here, and I'd be up all night if I had a mug. Actually did that twice last week, and that's enough for a while. I've got to learn I can't drink coffee past eight in the evening.
I'll have one, (or a few), of Xengab's cookies though. I hope they're not as potent as Scrappy's. Geeze, I lost two days from her last batch.
Oh, and thanks for the pillow, Scrappy. It's the least you could have done. Pfft.
Good Mondays to everyone.

Yeah but they were pretty tasty right? Ok...I'm sorry, glad to see they finally wore off though. And by the way, that's what you get for trying to lace my blueberry pie. Shall we call a truce on all baked goods? ? I think we must endeavor to keep Cyrene's like Switzerland.......nuetral. In the intrest of good faith I'll leave one of my famous rasberry shakes on the bar for you. They really are very good. Everyone have a good night!!

Hi Phalon! I´m not sad, that you don´t drink a with me on such an early morning. I´ved lerned, that i became tired, if i drink only one cup of i need two cups to wake up. But the same problem has my aunt too. And i can drink that in every hour - that doesn´t matter. BTW, i´ved buye me the 3, season from Xena ( the US Version - code 0 ) and what i must say?! There are really some scenes, they i´ved never seen before. (german tv channels censored everything - more reclame and less Xena... ) So, i wish you a very nice evening. And everybody else too. Good night everyone. xengab

Mmmm. Delicious shake, Scrappy. Thanks. You know, Xengab the great thing about all these fattening things at Cyrene's is that cyber goodies have virtually no calories...unless, of course, you follow the power of suggestion and run to your fridge because reading about them makes you hungry. (Just checked mine - nothing good in there. Had a glass of orange juice instead).
Salad bars are good too. Croutons? Are there croutons? Cheeses? Bacon? Hard-boiled eggs? Lots of dressing choices? I'll load up. And who says salads aren't fattening?
Beer, also in here is less fattening. And less filling. Doesn't give you a headache either, no matter how much you drink. I think I'll have one before I head to bed.
Night all.
