Been a while since I've stopped in here...nice to see the coffee machine still works.
Beautiful, sunny spring day. Actually, a few in a row, and instantly it seems we have color. Tiny violets blooming; covering the lawn in purple and white. And yellow: Forsythia is starting as well as the Cornelian cherry dogwoods, and of course, the daffodils! Love the daffodils: my absolute favorite - this time of year, anyway, (my absolute favorite flowers tend to change with the seasons). Yellow, I think, is the best color for spring - so cheery and sunny after the grey days of winter.
Wishing sunny yellow days for all.
Take care.

Now Joxie do you think I don't know how to share? I think I left one or two on the plate. Besides if you snooze you lose. To make up for it I just made some sticky yet yummy rice crispy treats. Though I made a double batch and there only seems to be enough left to pill one pan. Guess it was all that taste testing. Mmmm Now for a cup of java to cut the sweet. Not too hot please!

Good evening all and glad to see everyone. It was nice and warm here Q. So much so the shorts were pulled out of the shelf in the closet and dusted off. I have to say that my neighbors did have to put on their sunglasses while speaking to me outside. Guess they were blinded by the white. I hope you get some warmth soon...Just warn me so I can get my shades.

Xengab, sorry to hear things are not getting better. Keep hope.
Sunny warmth will have to wait from this way, Marysgurl. Take Scrappy's - she's got enough to go around, I think. Eirene is so right: April - one minute sunny, the next; grey skies rain, clouds and cold, (would like some snow, actually - a bunch of it, but just for a day). Grey and chilly now; more typical of our springs.
Take care all.

Hey everyone...Hope you had a good weekend. It is windy as can be here. So much so that Z got a call from her supervisor who told her to go to the local hardware store and purchase some rope then to tie herself to the bumper so she didn't fly away. At first she thought there was a real shopping trip involved and got excited but when she realized he was teasing her. Her retort was to call him all serious and act as if she was at the store and asked him...nylon or twine I can't decide. He was not sure if she was joking or not until she started laughing saying that she thought the nylon would cause less rope burns. Guess she couldn't keep the giggle to herself.
How about an iced tea. Extra ice...I love to crunch it!!!

Good afternoon all and hope all is going well. The tavern looks a might empty...I grab a rag and wipe up a bit of dust from the counter, opened the windows to let the place air out a bit and put a freshly baked pie on the sill to cool. Maybe that will attract some attention...

Pie? For breakfast? Sure; goes well with coffee.
What kind of pie, I wonder. Heck, it's cyber-pie - I can make it anything I want, can't I?
Ok, a big piece of strawberry/rhubarb and a steaming hot cup of black coffee to go.
Gotta run.
Enjoy the day.

Thin Mints, GP? My favorite Girl Scout talked me into buying a bunch, and dang, what was I thinking? The rest of the family practice heathenism when it comes to chocolate, not seeing it for the heavenly god-like thing that is really is. Leaves me a whole lot of chocolate to get rid of.

I will love a few...I don't eat them myself but Z loves them...stores them in the freezer all year long. I suggest dipping them in vanilla ice cream...mmm
No worries about the left overs...I speak from experience that you can calm the savage beasts with chocolate. I worked with 4 women in one room and all hormonal at the same time. I learned within my first month to bring in tiding of chocolate and the rioom ran smoother.

Hey, I never thought of that! Shame on me; mint chocolate chip is my favorite, next to coffee ice cream.
A couple of boxes for Z, then. Hope she enjoys.

Good, Gp. And how're you?
Darn, after a few nice days of shorts weather, it's turned cold again. Dragging out the winter jacket for hopefully the last time. Flurries in the forecast for this weekend. Brrrrr.
No tossing of the cookies, please. They aren't that bad.

Looks like you all are sending the cool weather my way...That's what I get for packing up the winter garb for the season. We are no where near flurries though. Thank goodness for I know I would not know how to deal with the weather except hunker down in the house and not leave til warm weather. Sounds like I should put in an application to become the next groundhog.
I'm enjoying life at the moment. Thanx for asking
