October?? Was that an age related joke? (somebody tell me where the smileys are I can't find them!)

I can see the smilies... (I'm using IE 6.0)... so I've no idea why you can't. (LE! ) As for the October reference that Evergreen made... I just assumed it to mean: "Halloween is coming up, is it not?"

And so she awakens....Nice post, Zena. I won't make any age jokes, I promise. And you've still got a couple good weeks left in you, eh? Just kidding, btw. You can slap Phalon upside the head for that later.
Evergreen...I've got roses! My Fairy roses, only blooming sporadically throughout this year with the cool summer we've had, have put forth a fabulous burst of late season color. I hope it's not the end. Last year they bloomed at Thanksgiving.
The leaves are finally changing. Drop dead gorgeous, drive off the road color. I love autumn.

Heartwarming exchange with the nephew, Phalon. I don't think he's convinced do you?
Gabby? I hope you are out there or I will be forced to write your part on my own!

You don't? Dang it.
Actually, I'm at quite a loss at where to go next. Have much thinking to do. If it'll be productive is the question.
Gabby, looking forward to reading a post from you soon.
And where the heck has everyone else been keeping themselves lately?
Take care all.

Gabs...great post! I am so glad you have hung in here with your fellow Bards. Your writing has taken on such confidence and depth.
I do believe we need our very own Bard meet up someday...what a thing to have us all in one room at one time to talk away the hours.
Hope all is well with our missing sisters...

Later, gotta run.
Great work all.

Wonderful Sumire! I promise to write this weekend, I have to study for a mid-term exam first.
Hey Red! We welcome your return.

Sumire! Everytime I read one of your posts I wish they weren't so few and far between.
I haven't a clue what I'm going to do yet, and haven't come up with any plausible explanation as to why I would follow you all, so I'll just stay in bed awhile longer. I need the sleep.

Plausible explanation??? I thought you did a pretty good job of giving explanations in one of your posts - difficulty of the return to being dressed by your mom, the townspeople are scared of you - and it's cool to hang out with Amazons (not to forget, SAFE!) and we are a team.

I know, I know....a really kick butt bunch of friends, (literally, no?), but then there's Mom and brother and his horde, and oh, I am so torn. What to do....what to do?

Trix...great post! For me, it was very visual and I saw each scene as it unfolded. It may be a while between your post, but when you do...its worth the wait.
Phalon...you DO have quite the choice to make. However, if I were your mother...I would wish for you to go find the life that is yours. I do believe that Phalon is not an "abider"...for long. There are families we are born into and others we find along the way. Hmmm... Wonder where that concept came from?
BTW: Do Amazons really move around this much? <g>

I agree, Evergreen. And I suppose if Phalon doesn't make up her mind soon, Mom will probably get frustrated with her less then acceptable domestic capabilities and threaten to kick her out anyway.
I think I have a short post in mind, at least to get me started, and then maybe something will come to me.
Anyone have an idea of what to do with Puella, and Xie, (Xie? are you still out there?).

Hello all, Sorry I had to dump that last Sumi post and run but I was kinda cramped for time and I'm barely getting around the Bard's Banter now! Thanks for the comments. I'm glad that last post worked out. It's hard to tell sometimes.
I was just doing some re-reading and I'm glad I did. I missed Joxie's post entirely! So now that Joxie is no longer in a tree will we see her again? Huh? Can we? Huh-huh?
...That reminds me. Oohhh friiieeda rooooOOOooose!? Where iz you?
Xiiiiiie!? Allo?
Phalon: Um.. I could be wrong here but I'm thinking that Puella isn't reading anymore. I'm not even sure she made the transition from ez-boards to pro-boards with Whoosh. My suggestion, as far as that would be to continue as we have; not pulling Puella along. If she shows up she can hit the ground running and do a 'catch up' post. Blackwolf, who is very busy, continues with the story and does a good job filling in the gaps without losing too much consistancy when she posts. So it's easier to 'bring' Blackwolf along where it doesn't seem as easy a thing with the other characters. Even so, emailing or private messaging the person might be the way to go.
I agree with the others, Gabby, that was a nice post. Very touching. Between Little Gabby and LIttle Apollo I find I heave sad sighs alot while reading.
Evergreen, your posts are timed well. It's almost like watching a movie that cuts back and forth etween two concurrent but equally important scenes. Plus your descriptions are rather nice, the setting in particular. In fact, I find it intersesting that I feel like there's four characters: Evergreen, Whisperer, the old woman and the Sea.
Double thumbs up to Phalon & Zena, the Bards that keep this thing rolling between the gaps of those of us who post less often. [insert guilty blush here] I'm so glad you do it and do it well.

I noticed that Zena is headed to a hospice... so I think she intends on running into me/her there.

Puella is a member of this board and has checked in a couple of times... don't know if she intends to continue the scrolls though.
BTW: If you don't read the news fader that flashes at the top of the forum... check it out now, cause tomorrow is a special day for our main scroll character... (the one who started it all)...

Hey thanks for the good wishes Joxie. Until January Evergreen and I are twins!
It isn't often that when you plant a seed that you can see a tree grow and bear good fruit. This has been a wonderful experience. So many women (and hopefully men too) finding that they have a talent for writing! I toast you good Bards! May we scroll on for many full Xena Moons!
Joxie, I'll see you in two Zenatime days at the Sisters of Gaia Home for Broken Warlords!
And Phalon, I think most Amazons found a place to live and stayed put!!

Zena! Happy Birthday, friend. Enjoy your day to the fullest. Hope the sun is shining tomorrow for you.
Evergreen - guess what I got? Rescued me a Blaze rose from the brush pile at work today.
Trix - I guessed that GP wasn't reading anymore, but her character, as well as a few others, were left in the house, I think, and I just wondered if we should leave them there. I hate loose ends, but suppose it'll have to be.

Happy Birthday dear friend Zena. Evergreen wishes you shiny red apples to continue to nourish us as we wander side by side through the Grecian countryside.
Happy Birthday dear friend Deb. Linda wishes you blessings upon all of your days and peace upon your nights. I am glad we have met although we have never met. Yes, we are equally long toothed for the moment. Cheers to the years and those waiting in the future. Even then, we will talk away the hours...
