To all my Bard Buddies -
With the holiday season upon us and the old year drawing to a close, I have to say how glad I am that I overcame that apprehension over never having written anything and decided to jump into the Scrolls so long ago. I am still amazed that we've kept them alive for this long, and how we've kept this little family of friends together. Though we've seen a few who've come and have since left, I'm grateful for having the opportunity to write with each and everyone of you all.
Love and warmest wishes to you this Holiday Season.
Cindy, a.k.a Phalon.
Scroll on.

I second Phalon's sentiments. There are so many talented people here whose writing has made me cry, laugh or marvel at their wisdom. The scroll unrolls at it's own pace, inviting all who are brave enough to discover who they could be. Here's to us, and to our friendship, may it live long in peace.
ps Did any one, as I did, rerun "A Solstice Carol" last night for the celebration of the WInter Solstice?
"Stars shine bright on Solstice night...."

Fellow Bards...Season's greetings from Zena and Evergreen. As you know Xena,WHOOSH, and the Scrolls have connected people in many ways. Zena and I are blessed to have such a wonderful friendship although it be such a long distance in between where we live our real lives as a Special EducationTeacher/Artist and a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor/Guitar Player. We have always enjoyed interactive word play and for this year, with our apologies to Clement Clarke Moore, we have, together, created this. Our Gift to all our wonderful Bard friends. Merry Christmas to You All! Zena and Evergreen The Night Before Christmas Revisted "Twas the night before Christmas and all through the year, We hoped for a trip to see far friends most dear.
The stockingswere hung by the Chakram with care in hopes that Xena would soon show up there. The two friends were nestled all snug in their beds With visions of Season 6 playing loud in their heads.
And Linda in her boots and Deb in her ball cap, had just settled by the fire for a long winter's nap. When outside the hut window there arose such a clatter, They stopped all their talking and never ending chatter. Then out on the lawn they saw a great sight.
Xena in her leather, Gabby twirling her staff, Back protecting back ,poised for a fight.
The moon on the warrior's breastplate reflecting the new fallen snow Gave the luster of mid-day as the two friends shouted,"go on with the show!"
When what to their wonder did suddenly appear..... But Tappert and Raimi and good old Steve Sears!
With a script in one hand and a camera so quick, We knew in a moment, At last, a Xena flick!
More rapid than Harpies, the actors they came, As RT, Sam,and Steven whistled and shouted, and called them by name, "Now Lucy, now Rene, now Alex, and Adrianne" "On Ted,on Claire,on Danielle and Bruce Campbell"....
From the top of New Zealand to Rob's cutting floor, Now act away act away, act away all!

Thanks, Zena. Yes, I think Phalon's days in town are numbered, and I wonder if she'll be packing up anyone to take along with her?
Wishing all a safe and happy New Year's celebration, and the best of everything in the upcoming year.

Thank you Phalon for the Birthday wishes...no roses nor winter however.
We are to be in the mid 80s by Wednesday. I spent Friday afternoon MOWING and raking leaves. Ditto the leaves on Saturday along with hauling a boatload of cut branches and other prunings to the curb for brush collection in the morning. Way too many leaves just to mulch so I left some, bagged some.
My daughters will be picking me up in a couple of hours to take me to a birthday lunch...they are mum on where...should be an adventure.
I hope that all my Bard friends have wonderful year ahead. Here's to a continued unrolling of the Scroll...EG

Happy Birthday dear friend, May our journey of friendship never end. For your birthday may you have cake, That you yourself won't have to bake! May ice cream in your favorite flavor, Accompany cake whenever you favor. And last of all from your old friend, A year of joy and peace I send. Always,

Zena: Thank you for the birthday poem and wishes. I indeed had a good day. Cake I did have(Black Forest) with vanilla ice cream. I was treated to a birthday lunch as well. I have eaten sooo much since Christmas, I will be rolling into the New Year. I have been pondering a post. Hope to get it finished soon. Again, thank you my dear friend...

Trix..I'm waiting on you. ... C'mon Bards, let's scroll! Zena, Evergreen, Joxie, Phalon & G-sticky (& fellow Bards) I’m very much digging how the story’s unfolding. I’m sorry for the sudden absence after my last post. My intention was to follow up the next posts without the usual time lag but I was thwarted my own website being h4X0r’d --right in the thick of holiday madness no less! (Note my lack of avatar & that new Sumire siggy banner that I had just recently made!) – Ultimately it was my fault for not being a better website owner but I s’pose these are the lessons some neophyte webmistresses must learn the hard way. All that and the holiday overtime work crunch made an already overdue vacation very imperative. I have to say that seeing the family after a year away was just what the doctor ordered. Too much fun. I hope everyone’s holidays turned out to be as nice as mine did. <aside> Red says that when I am around my family my accent gets thicker. Accent? What accent!? I don’t have an accent! </aside> Just got back in town last night and will now hammer out a Sumi post before I get back to reconstructing my website. Zena & Evergreen: That was a nice take on an old classic. I enjoyed it even this late in the holiday season. Would it be wrong of me to suggest more compilations from the dynamic duo? Happy Burst-day Evergreen! =)

Trix! Glad to know you are still around and ready to write. See if you can convince Red to do the same! I hope the new banner wasn't lost - it was stunning.
EG & I enjoy writing as a duo but she seems to always be on the run in our scroll so that does limit the opportunities.
I hope everyone is well and ready to start a fresh year. And if you haven't already, please consider donating somewhere to a charity helping the people who are suffering from the Tsunami disaster.

Trix, glad to hear your holidays went well, and you got to visit the family. Accent? I hear none. Yep, get the banner back up soon...too awesome to lose for long.
Zena, consider it done.

Ok, Trix....let me get a grip on myself. I can't remember laughing so hard here since Zena thought she was goddess of the sea. Excellent work.

What do mean THOUGHT I was the goddess of the sea? Ok Trix, I'm loving this comedy...stand by for the Zenacam view!

Sheesh...every school in every neighboring town in our county and the counties around us was closed - except ours. Our superintendent, I think, is blind, or maybe vacationing in Florida. But then again, why should this year be any different the the past? Last year, during all those weeks of never-ending snow, I think school closed maybe once or twice. And that was for fog.

I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't sure I was pulling off the humor parts.
Now I gotta go get ready for work. I just heard it was snowing over there.
Snowing. In Las Vegas. Now that is something you don't see everyday.

Wasn't sure you were pulling off the humor parts? Oh no - just the right amount of humor in a very dramatic post. I could feel Sumire's fear, but sorry, just had to laugh at the poor thing.
And the end...BOLL. Loved it.
Hope all had a good weekend, and have a good week ahead.

Important Announcement!
The tag now works, and everywhere you used the tag is now messed up. I think I have repaired all the posts on this board that used fonts... let me know if I have missed any. Thanks.

Hello good bards! It's been awhile since I have written. Hopefully Trix and I can get this going again.
Evergreen are you following the way of peace now? Interesting.
Anybody else out there? Red? Phalon? Joxie?
And by the way, does anyone else feel as deprived as I do that I couldn't make the 10th anniversary con? Hope creation has it for dvd!
Scroll on!!

I'm sure they'll have one. They usually do.
And I'll try to think up some more chores for Trenna to do while she waits for her destiny to begin.
