7 Roar A Celtic warrior thriller in the vein of Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and starring a young Heath Ledger and Vera Famiga? What's not to like?! Sadly, Roar only managed to find enough of an audience to live through eight episodes (leaving five un-aired), while Heath Ledger only lived through... nope, nevermind. I can't do it. We love Heath too much. www.ugo.com/tv/promising-tv-shows-that-failed

I've heard of "Roar" but never had a chance to watch it.
I'm always amazed at the good shows that fail, while other less interesting and entertaining, or those that are just plain stupid continue to go on and on and on.
One of the good ones that I absolutely loved that barely made it through two seasons (and half of one season was halted because of the writers' strike) was "Life". I heard it described once as "the best show nobody knows exists", or something to that effect.

I wish The Lost World had gone on longer than 3 seasons, not that it was such a great show, but that the ending left us dangling. Loved Jennifer O'Dell on that show as she reminded me so much of Renee Never know how long something will last, has nothing to do with quality. Xena lasted only 6 seasons, Baywatch 11. Sure we know which was by far the better program.

I was a "Roar" fan, too, and am glad to have it on DVD. Heath Ledger had such magnetism at that young age, I just knew great things were ahead for him. I thought the same thing when I saw young Reese Witherspoon in "The Man In The Moon".
I used to think that "Beauty & The Beast" ended too soon. But with time, I now think it had just about run its course at only a couple of seasons. I still really treasure that show, though.

I wish they had ended 'Beauty and the Beast' at season two, or have a really short season three with Catherine and Vincent having a happy ending. I really hated season 3. I wasn't going to buy it on DVD, but I broke down and got it. I though maybe I could watch it with fresh eyes and maybe grow to like it a little bit. I haven't been able to watch them yet though. I got so mad at Linda Hamilton at the time that I could have gutted her on sight. I'm a little more understanding now that I know she was having issues at the time.

I have seen only one or two episodes from season 3. Those first two seasons were pretty magical. Amazing, really, when you think of one of the Big 3 networks producing a show like that for primetime viewing. And it was clearly a labor of love for all involved. At least, until Linda's troubles took a toll.
I, too, wish they had just wrapped up the show with season 2.
I've gotta go get my dvds out, now. You have me craving that show!

I've caught an ep or two on TV, but I haven't gotten out the DVDs ... I really should though. I've watched my Roswell DVDs 3 or 4 times now, I should switch to B&B next time I need to get away from it all.
ACK! If that dang gnat doesn't stop landing on my nose and face, I'm gonna eat the bugger.

Due South. It ended way too soon. It was a fun show that didn't take itself too seriously, but still managed to have great emotional moments too.
