That one came to me out of nowhere midday; I wasn't even thinking about eggs. I think I even said it out loud, "the yolk is yellow."

You two are just too good at those things. I think the answer to the question about the president was supposed to be "Obama" - or who ever is president when the question is asked depending on the country you are in - but you two weren't even challenged.

Can figure out what these seven words all have in common? 1. Banana 2. Dresser 3. Grammar 4. Potato 5. Revive 6. Uneven 7. Assess No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double letters....

The second letter and last letter are the same....wait, so are the third, and second to last letters.

Right and wrong at the same time - not many can pull that off but you managed.

But, but, but...it might be wrong according to the riddle, but it's true.

Hmm, they all have similar "patterns" of letters. If you use numbers instead of letters, you would see:
0 1 2 1 2 1 0 1 2 3 3 2 1 0 1 2 3 3 2 1 0 1 2 3 2 1 0 1 2 3 2 1 0 1 2 3 2 1 0 1 1 2 1 1

If you prefer a mathmatical solution, it is in fact possible to determine the solution using your scheme Spock.

Who in their right *&^%! mind would prefer a mathematical solution?!!!!

BOLL! I'm sorry Phalon - that wasn't directed at you! I was just letting Spock know that, well, it's sort of possible.

All are a single letter followed by a palindrome: if you move the first letter to the end, you get the word spelled backwards. For example, Banana becomes ananaB, which is banana backwards. I think.

Nicely done scamp! You got it. Thanks Step, but you really made me work... Then dang, I knew there would be downside. Took me hours to find something equal to this bunch.... Okay, here are some numbers: 1,000 1,000,000,000 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 100 1 4 8 ? What is the next number in this pattern and why?

It felt like 5 weeks. I followed all kinds of bunny trails on that one! Took me forever when I first had it thrown at me... Well since you haven't nailed us with a riddle, how about I give you another one? When can you add 2 to 11 and get 1 as the correct answer?

Late at night, after a few drinks, a pounding headache, and you can't find your glasses. Or anytime I try to do math. And since she started this thread, this one's for you, Scrappy.

Phalon! You know this! You have a military history - at least I think that's what she's referring to. Scamp comes up with very clever puzzles, but I'm sure you can reason it out if you take your time.

AH HA! Of course!!! I guess it's time for me to bow out to see if anyone else can get the answer ... though I don't actually get "1" ...

Military related? Maybe. LX thinks sometimes I'm a drill sergeant.
It's the weekend. "It's 11pm now; your curfew is at one. Be home in two hours or your phone is mine."
11+2=1

Maybe - but I must confess to being a bit more brain fried than before you started posting these - and that would concern those who actually know me. There isn't much left to work with!

Your modesty doesn't fool me for a second. Still here's an easier one... maybe I can entice Scrappy Amazon into guessing so I can pelt her pumpkins. Oh wait. Nevermind. I already tossed the ones you and she both nailed me with. Anyway, here's another riddle: A person gets a job as a traveling salesperson and is required to travel to all of the lower 48 states, but is only allowed to do so once. In which state does the salesperson have to either begin or end his/her travels?
