Gams, every time I see that Chevelle song at the top of this page, I think of my niece, Jo Jo. She was so in love with them a few years ago, during her "Evanescence" phase. She got to meet both bands, thanks to a DJ friend of mine, when they came to OKC together, and nearly died with happiness.

Oh, how very cool Jo got to meet the guys from Chevelle and guys and girl from Evanescence (I just heard they've got a new release coming out), and that you arranged it! I bet that scored some "Best Aunt Ever" points for you.
Here's one Jo might have liked too.

My DJ friend is remembered fondly, Gams. She did, and should, get all the credit. I know lots of people were clamoring for those "meet & greet" passes. She was kind enough to give them to Jo Jo. And what's more, another DJ from that station gave Jo his pair of free tickets to the show - primo seats, very close to the stage. As I said, Jo was nearly overcome with the whole thing. It was pretty much sensory and emotional overload.

I admit to being stuck with "preacher". The closest thing I could think of was "pastor" in a Kid Rock song.
Don't have to think hard at all about this one, though...
from "Teach Your Children" by Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young
You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by. And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye. Teach your children well, their father's hell did slowly go by, And feed them on your dreams, the one they picked, the one you're known by. Don't you ever ask them why, if they told you you would cry, So just look at them and sigh and know they love you.

Moonlight Serenade ~ Glenn Miller
I stand at your gate and the song that I sing is of moonlight. I stand and I wait for the touch of your hand in the June night. The roses are sighing a Moonlight Serenade.
The stars are aglow and tonight how their light sets me dreaming. My love, do you know that your eyes are like stars brightly beaming? I bring you and sing you a Moonlight Serenade.
Let us stray till break of day in love's valley of dreams. Just you and I, a summer sky, a heavenly breeze kissing the trees.
So don't let me wait, come to me tenderly in the June night. I stand at your gate and I sing you a song in the moonlight, a love song, my darling, a Moonlight Serenade.
Great huh!
