Vast applause here for that moving vocalisation there Siren! Yep you gots it, it was our Calam' played by the totally phenominally wonderful Doris Day. I had wanted to try and describe her character in "A Touch of Mink" but got a bit stumped. Anyway, take it away Siren. XV

*taking a deep bow* Thanks! Wow - "Secret Love". Do you know, Doris recorded that in one take? She said she remembers riding her bike over to the studio, doing her vocal warm-up exercises on the way. She said they did a quick run-through, then one take. The producer was thrilled, and said Doris couldn't possibly do it any better. It's one of my all-time favorite songs. But I also love Doris' "It's Magic" (the remake, not the version from "Romance On The High Seas"), and "I'll Never Stop Loving You" from "Love Me Or Leave Me". Oh heck - most anything she did was great. What a fine vocalist!
Let's see...
I'm a black man, visiting my mother in a Deep South racist town, and am mistakenly suspected and arrested when a rich white man is murdered. I am later released when the local police find that I am a renowned homocide detective. Tensions simmer when I am assigned to stay and help the local police solve the case.

Virgil Tibbs in The Heat of the Night, played best by the dapper Mr Sydney Poitier.
Excellent film and no mistake. Always amazed that it was directed by Norman Jewison, as it seems so different from his other films.

I'm not rich, just a hard working family man who delivers milk for a living. I have several wayward daughters who are making decisions they shouldn't be. I often talk to G-d when I'm trying to work through my problems. And I sing a little too.
Who am I?

I am tall, well built I have a beard and I where a hat that looks a little like a fisherman's cap. My wife and I have been married for 25 years and she just told me that she loves me.

Think this is more in Sirens line by the sounds of it XV, I'm drawing a blank I'm afraid.
Hey your guys are off to a shaky start in their defense of the Ashes, Australia batting are 3/313 with 40 minutes to stumps on day one. Apart from "Freddie" Flintoff the quicks have been pretty ineffectual, with only Giles offering him any real support.

Um, ok lets see.
Interestingly both the character and the most famous person to play him are commonly known by a single name. It's a musical set in Russia at the beginning of the 20th century.
Hope that helps.
And Do You Love Me? or are you fed up by now?

I'm a young lady of the early 1900s, very excited because a big event is coming to our town.
I share a home with my parents, my grandpa (who makes a great date in a pinch), our cook, my oldest sister (pretty, and skilled in womanly wiles) and my 2 tomboyish little sisters (one of whom has a morbid fascination with burying her dolls).
I have an active social life, and am trying to snare the attractive boy next door. But what'll I do? Dad's job is calling for him to move us all to the big city!

I have been a lawman for more years than I care to remember and have lost more than youth to the pursuit of outlaws. Hard livin, hard drinkin and hard shootin have left their mark on me, most noticably the eyepatch I have to wear. My best friends are my chinese cook and my cat, General Lee.

This sounds like one from the master director Ridley Scott, the film's "Blade Runner" and therefore you would be ..............
Rick Deckard.
