Nope not Paladin from "Have Gun, Will Travel" Siren [ a really good show that ]
This real life lawman often worked with several of his brothers, and has been portrayed by numerous actors in movies, Burt Lancaster and Kevin Costner being just two.
Yep good flick indeed "Hang Em High."

I'll wait and see if someone else wants to have a go at this first, which is a cunning way of saying I don't really know the answer.

Which is my way of saying, I don't know it either.

I'm pretty sure that would be Tim Daly's character from Wings. I loved that show and never missed it. It's been so long though, I don't remember his name.

1982
It had a sort of "Indiana Jones" feel to it. I've mentioned it more than once, I think. It was short-lived, and I recently learned the DVD is coming out soon.

Indeed I am the debonair cardsharp MG, and yep an excellent show, just one of what must have been a dozen or more westerns that were regular viewing way back then.

God, is he really. I do feel old now. I've been thinking of those 'dozen or more' westerns and the count is ten at the moment.
I'm accompanying a family on an amazing journey. The young son, in particular, is always getting into scrapes. Thankfully I usually warn him of the dangers, though not always in time.

I must draw up a list and see how many Westerns we actually watched way back in the dark ages, should be interesting. Would you be the young guy [ can't remember your name ] from .......... "Lost in Space?"

You got the right show, Kat. The boy was Will Robinson. I am his ever faithful companion 'The Robot'. "Warning, danger Will Robinson". The same mechanical marvel that stole the show, in that great movie 'The Forbidden Planet', although then he was called Robbie.

So far I've got: Bonanza Gunsmoke Wyatt Earp Maverick Rawhide Rin Tin Tin Cheyenne Laramie The Lone Ranger Wagon Train Those were the ones that I watched. There were others, but either I didn't take to them or, for some strange reason they showed them very late. 'Have Gun will travel', for instance, was on at 11.00pm at night, much too late for a young-un!

'The Forbidden Planet' was on just the other day, managed to catch some of it *and keep this to yourself won't you* but I think Anne Francis caught my attention more then Robbie the Robot.

Watched all of those, plus "Have Gun Will Travel" which must have been on at an earlier time here I guess. Also watched "Wanted Dead or Alive" which starred a young Steve McQueen as a bounty hunter, as well as "Bronco" and "Sugarfoot" which for some reason were packaged together with "Cheyenne" with the three shown on a rotating basis; throw in "High Chaparral" and "The Big Valley" and we were certainly never wanting for our Western "fix" that's for sure.

I've got a couple more for you - "The Rifleman" (Chuck Connors) and sort-of-a-western, "Daniel Boone" (Fess Parker).
My mom was a big "High Chaparral" fan.

Yes I used to watch 'The Rifleman' as well Siren. What was that other series Chuck Connors did? Was it 'A Cowboy In Africa', or something like that? Can't remember ever seeing 'Daniel Boone' though. I did watch 'High Chaparral', but I have to confess it was'nt one of my favourites. All-time favourite tv western has to be Gunsmoke. I loved that show. Here's an interesting piece of tv western trivia Kat. 'Wanted Dead Or Alive', wasn't screened in this country until 1985. Almost 30 years after it was made. I was busy raising a family then, probably why I missed it. I just realised, with the two above I made the dozen!
