Wait!!! There's one left in today's bag. Channeling Scrappy, channeling Scrappy - let's use Chanel No. 5 today; it's sweeter then the English Channel...and much less cold. Come in, Poppet. Can you hear me? This one is for Elfin "Miracle Worker" Poppet from Elfin Me, for walking me through a step-by-step process of getting all this wrapping done last minute today as I screamed into the phone, how the hell am I'm going to do this?! Look, Scrappy, I'm doing it!!!! You now have the power of IBM's forthcoming release - a computer capable of a quadrillion calculations per second, more power than a mile-high tower of laptops. The system will use 884,736 processors—six times the current best—to analyze problems on a dizzying scale. There. Go ahead and try and blow that one.

My duties aren't done quite yet though. There's still a couple gifts left in the bag today. This one is for Stepper. Enjoy a year's supply of fabulous filet mignon. (even though I'm full of brownies, this one is making my mouth water!) Away from MY filet!!! Back !! Somebody went to a lot of trouble to come up with cooked perfection and it's only appropriate that I should have the pleasure of the first one. Tell you what though, I'll share one with you a little later. What 'cha got planned for August? Okay Secret Santa! You're off to one heck of a start. Thanks Heaps!

I want to thank my Secret Santa, too. Cookbooks are one of my pleasures. And a DUMPLING cookbook? Who'da thunk it? What a unique, and thoughtful gift. Thank you!
I need to thumb through the index to see if it includes a recipe for "Mama Siren's Chicken & Dumplin's".
Oh, and Stepper? I take mine medium well, thanks.

What can I say to my Secret Santa [ after picking my jaw off the floor ] but thank you very much.
One of my favourite actors/directors, and that's an amazing collection of his works, once again, many thanks.

OMGOMGOMG!!! Now I can be a whole and complete cardinals fan with my boldin jersey on. I can scream at the tv with the proper amount of pride when my man Boldin completes hail mary pass from Warner to make the game winning play. Or Fitzgerald rockets down the sideline for 30 yards to make the first down and then some. Or I can cry tears of frustration when THEY TOTALLY BLOW IT LIKE THEY DID LAST WEEK!!!!!! *sigh.....yeah blood sweat and tears are gonna ba all over my new jersey.
And Madam P....how can I ever thank you enough for a computer so big and powerful not even I could blow it up!

CLEAN UP ON AISLE 7!!! Seems like one of Siren's dumplings spontaneously rolled off the table and onto the floor, colliding with a wandering Stepper fillet and created what looks to be something one of the reindeer left behind. Glad everyone liked their gifts. I'm always tickled at what the Santas remember from some little something their giftees mentioned in a prior post somewhere, and try to fulfill those wishes. On to round two: First gift out of the bag this morning is for Siren.

Lunchtime delivery. <rummages around for lunch; finds a couple day-old chicken leg from TG's platter> Hhmmm...not as green as the tree; not as furry as the reindeer; I deem it fit to eat. Not bad - it even tastes like chicken. <wipes chickeny fingers on her jeans as not to soil the pretty package she pulls from the bag> This one is from Scrappy's Secret Santa. (psst...I put some tissues in your stocking, Scrappy, to go along with the gift.

Oooo, Stepper! It looks like you won't have to wait until summer. You must have been very good, or your Secret Santa is very thoughtful. I'm thinking both. Aw, TG - you've outdone yourself this time! And quit with the 'hanging head' thing - pfft! I happen to love cold chicken legs, which are nothing like being chicken and getting cold feet. And of course your cold chicken legs are the best! But sheesh, that sandwich spread looks delicious!
Just what I need to get these last couple of gifts passed out for the day. Oh, and I'll take the hot chocolate and coconut rum, please. (I can only hope now that I get the gifts to the right people.)

<peeks into bag o' gifts> This handsomely wrapped mysterious looking package is tagged for Jon. To help you find your roots, and delve into your family's ancestry Ok, that's it for tonight....oh, wait! The bag doesn't quite feel empty. <peeks back into bag, and notices one gift left hiding> There's still something in the bag. This one is for Jon too. "This book is essential reading for anyone who likes unconventional history.....it takes you through examples of "your kind" in all cultures and all signifigant time periods. No stone is left unturned. Citing mythology, medieval history to current medical cases, this book is a delight to read. Historian and non-historian alike will find it nothing short of fascinating."

That's all for day two. Santas, tomorrow is the day you'll reveal yourselves. If you don't have it already, I'll send your gift-wrapped package back to you via pm, and you can post it yourself, or if you can't make it in tomorrow, I will post any remaining gifts late tomorrow night.
As usual, you've all done fabulous work!!!
Don't forget that TG's left plenty of fresh refreshments. Stock up, don't be shy. Eat, eat! Drink! Be Merry! Eat some more! Cuz whatever is leftover will be my breakfast, and hot chocolate and rum is not normally on the breakfast menu.
Although, maybe I'll manage.

Way Cool! Perfect match for the Filets too! Looks like I'm gonna have to do some grilling! Hey TG! If I grill, think you might be willing to chip in with some of your goodies? I'm pretty handy with steaks and grills, but I could always use some hints. What goes good with filet mignon and baked potatoes and garlic toast? My Secret Santa ought be a professional Secret Santa Shopper. Whom ever you be, you've made some excellent choices!

Ah...thank you, kind grill master! I would love to share the kitchen with you...only promise me you'll at least throw a tuna filet on that grill so I won't have to eat the dead cow! I think I can bring some color (and a little nutrition) to the table... Let's start off with some avocado slices...no seasonings, just nummie with a little sea salt and freshly-ground pepper... And who doesn't love deviled eggs...made with fresh dill, homemade sweet pickle relish (so we skip the high fructose corn syrup) veganaise, onion flakes, black pepper, sea salt, and a secret ingredient that I just can't give out....today! My very favoritest green veggie...asparagus sauteed just a little in 100% virgin olive oil with fresh garlic and purple onions...(where are the purple onions!?) And last, but not least, lets throw some rosemary-seasoned (what else?) baby carrots on the grill to garnish those filets! There you go! Bon appetit!! ;D

Oh! I could park myself here all day. Deviled eggs! And asparagus, (one of my favorite vegetables too, TG, sauteed or roasted just the way you fixed 'em, sometimes with a squeeze of lemon, or a dash of balsamic vinegar)!
Gotta run though. I'm sure I'll be back for more throughout the day!

Wow, Secret Santa - thank you for my super keen Sooners watch! That is some serious bling, there. And it combines two of my passions: watches and OU basketball. Way to go! I'll have to check the time PLENTY during the next home game, just so I can show off my watch! MMmmmmmmmmmm, TG - those side dishes look fantastic!! Thanks for whipping them up. Gams, thank you for doing an outstanding job as Whoosh Chief Christmas Elf. I appreciate all the time and work it took to get our gifts all prettied up and distributed. So, as a little gesture of thanks, here's something for you and your family. Scroll down for each surprise.... You've heard about it. Now you can see it for yourself: a sprinkling of Reindeer Dust will whisk you, Hubs, and the girls to Yellow Pine Ranch, the gorgeous Colorado getaway run by my cousin, Joanne. It's this beautiful in the summer: I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be, covered in snow. There's horseback riding, hiking, snowmobiles, and, close by, some super ski resorts. Speaking of skiing... Let that magic dust whoosh you to Aspen, one of the greatest resorts in Colorado... ...so you can spend the day sharing the trails with, and picking up a few pointers from, legendary Olympic champion... Picabo Street. She's a neat personality; the conversation should be as fun as the skiing. And finally..... At the end of your ski day, that reindeer dust will whisk you back to Yellow Pine, and Cousin Joanne's cozy kitchen. My mom, my sis, and I will meet you there, for Mama's chicken & dumplings, homemade ice cream, and GG's cinnamon pecan cake. Joanne is such a great hostess, I guarantee, you and la familia will be tempted to stay in Colorado. Merry Christmas, Gams!! *big hug and a wet kiss on the head*

Siren!!! I don't know what to say! That is just about the coolest thing ever, and I know the girls would have so much fun! And I just had to show Hubs the photos; he ran off, saying he was packing our bags this minute.
All of it is so wonderful - the hiking, the gorgeous scenery, and the skiing - but of course, the best part of it all would be going back to cousin Joanne's ranch and spending time with you and your family!
Love ya, Siren. Christmas hugs to you!
