Isn't that the best backyard set-up, Stepper? One of the neat things about wrapping is I get to see the gifts beforehand. I was thinking to myself, I'd never leave my backyard if it looked like that.

I love doing this annual Secret Santa gift exchange. It is so fun watching what each of you chose to give, and reading the reactions of who you personally picked it for. None of it would be as fun if not for the extremely wonderful people here. And none of it would be possible without the behind-the-scenes magic. That magic, of course, is provided by the fabulous trio, Elfin Joxie, Elfin Poppet, and Elfin TG. Just a little something ladies, to show my appreciation for the work you put into this. A little something to make your work here easier. All are handcrafted to last a lifetime by the highest skilled artisan fairy wand makers, and organically grown by fairy dust farmers with plenty of sunshine and magic, and bottled with no preservatives what-so-ever in a hand-blown bottomless container. The supply is endless, and the durability is such that even Scrappy can't break it. These are for Elfin Joxie, gift wrapper extraordinaire (all the toughies went to her this year), and question answerer (and I had a ton of them).

And for Chef Sista Elfin TG for providing a delicious (and healthy) array of goodies of both the munchie and liquid varieties. You'll note the color coordinating wand ribbons and fairy dust, Sis, as well as the organic fairy dust, free of all plastic wrappings.

And for Elfin Poppet. Even in her computer's absence, another year as Chief Deputy Elf she proves she's golden. So a little something for you just because. Could be just because I can't remember (or sometimes don't pay attention to) the time difference between our Elf abodes, and figure if I'm up in the morning, the whole world is awake. Could be because I delivered a few gifts to the wrapping department late one night and Joxie didn't see them, so you - without a computer in front of you - had to walk me through how to wrap them so the gift receivers wouldn't end up with a bunch of gobbledy code mumbo jumbo for Christmas. Could be just because it's pink. A suggestion? Wave it over your computer (whenever it gets fixed) to prevent further breakage; protection by fairy dust, I hear, is better than McAfee.

Firstly, a big thank you to Jon for the thought that went into your gifts, and secondly a wish that you're back in the very near future fit and well and informing us that your son is 100% recovered.
All the very best to you and your family.

Here's the last gift, well two gifts actually for my good friend Scrappy, two because, well you deserve em, and also because I miscalculated how many we were giving out and didn't wanna waste one, especially seeing as how it's JD.
From your Secret Santa Kat, hope you enjoy them.

I'd also like to say a big thank you to Elfin Joxie, Elfin Poppet, and Elfin TG, as well as Elfin Gams/Phalon, well done all.
Siren, that gift for Gams was fantastic, and richly deserved.

Yanno....with such a nice set-up, all that fillet mignon, TG's spread....seems like a perfect spot for our next Whoosh throw-down. That is, if you don't mind company. I swear, I'll leave my hands off your beef...at least, while it's cooking.
And clean up. I'll handle clean up. You won't even know we're there, especially after we leave.

Everything's been passed out. There's still a ton of food left. Eat up, everyone; I know TG loves to see those empty platters and smiling faces of satisfied diners.
Hope everyone had fun this year. I'll be home before the week is through, but just in case I miss anyone after we get back, I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. Thanks for being just the warm group of people that you are.

Your'e welcome, Stepper. And the fun is just beginning. You're going to meet neighbors you never knew you had. No more quiet evenings at home for you; you'll ALWAYS have company! But when you need some solitude, peace and quiet, take a tip from OU's Coach Coale. When she installed in a backyard pool, she said she also installed a flag pole so she could signal friends (and players) as to when the pool was open or closed.
Thank you, katina. In hindsight, I should have asked Santa to send some magic reindeer dust to all of you, so we could ALL gather at Cousin Joanne's. Wouldn't that be the best - friends and family and food and fun in that gorgeous atmosphere? And with reindeer dust, there's no luggage necessary, no flight reservations or tickets, no crowded planes and airports, and no jet lag. Santa really does know how to travel. It would make for the ideal Whoosh meet-up.
*rubbing her hands happily after opening her gifts* Mmmmmmmmm..books! I do love finding books under the Christmas tree. And those look terrific, and very interesting. And as a bonus, I should be able to dazzle my basketball buddies with my knowledge, after checking reading those selections. Thank you so much, Jox, for ALL my gifts, and the thought that went into them.
And here's a very belated, but very sincere, thank you for all your Oz-like work behind the Whoosh curtains, all year long. You have given us all a wonderful gift for many years now - a place to discuss our beloved Warrior Princess and all that exists in the Xenaverse, to meet like-minded friends from around the world, and to nurture those very special friendships. That is a gift that is truly priceless.

I totally agree with Siren on this one. You are one of a kind, FBM. I remember when I first came to the O2 board--green as I was on a computer--couldn't even post a smiley. You and Le held my hand and pulled me along...and look at me now! And then, when Mary started PT's, you were right there with her, helping her create our little world...and then, since Mary died, you've never left my side. I can always count on you for guidance and help and to keep things running smoothly. Yes, you are the magic that keeps us all close and connected!

Note to self: Next year - Phalon gets a super-duper gas operated heavy duty snow plow blower with non-sticking you don't-gotta-reach-in-for-packed-snow 'cause this thing couldn't get stopped by bricks intake, and a snow-exausts-past-your-neighbors-yard plus left handed smoke shifter with hot dog attachment thing-a-ma-bob, ride it if you want to but using the remore control is even more fun cause you're inside - riding blower with extra cushioned seats. Ski attachment optional.
