Well I just back tracked and and saw what you ar4e cooking...lol sorry for the dense thing....check this out. quote] Thanks for the recipe Scrappy (and see above post for late-reply apologies). So THAT'S how they get the banana inside... I always just put slices on the pancakes as they go in the pan, and kind of flambé them. Never tastes as good as the real thing.

I'm with you on this one, Joxie. I'd never eat a banana split. Raw, nasty, smelly, sticks in your teeth, banana. Yack.... Hope no-one's eating in the tavern!

Morning everyone!
Oops - just realised I'm kind of having a long conversation with myself. I just had a lot of posts to catch up with, and thought I'd keep track by replying as and when. Guess it looks a bit stupid though.
Erco - hope your cats weren't listening to Eirene's description of Burger King! Talking of hibernation...I went to the zoo on Saturday, and noticed that the polar bears were still out and about. Do zoo animals not hibernate, then? Or is that a very stupid 'of course not' kind of question?
Phalon - I feel for you. It hailed on me yesterday on my bike and I thought it had broken my nose. At least we are not as cold as you (although I have taken to wearing a woolly hat wherever I go - to hell with fashion, warmth it is!)
Dixie - welcome back again, old friend. I'm afraid I can only pop in and out at the moment because of the Belgian schedule, but it's good to see you again.
Eirene and Xengab - keep up the good tavern-warming work. Not sure I have yet managed to work out those revolving doors yet, though!
Enjoy your Wednesday everyone...
