Hi guys! Am finally back to the Whoosh board after much too long an absence (and, sadly, it was only a working absence and not even an exciting holiday... ) How is everybody? (Sorry - much too much to read back to catch up on everything - even this topic has a completely new thread!) Spent most of the afternoon watching 'comfort' Xena episodes. Bad (according to my employers, at least) habit I must stop if I am to get any further work done... Anyway, it is almost time to say good night over here. Sleep well, sweet dreams, and speak soon xx

Thanks Eirene - don't mind if I do! How are things with you? Last time we spoke was when your fridge and computer were being crazy. Hope they are behaving better now... Night, night

Morning all (thanks for the re-welcome, Xengab!) If anyone's around, I'm getting the coffees in - strong, and long, before I tackle my bike puncture Cold, misty and grey here - hope other people are getting a bit of sun (if so, send some my way) Laterz, gaterz, Catcob

Morning Catcob. I'd love to send sun and warmth your way, but unfortunately I haven't seen any for a week or so. Gray, rainy and cold here - although not as cold as it usually is this time of year and that's probably why it's rain and not snow. I'd prefer snow.
Let me just leave a nice chilled glass of Yoo-Hoo here, by the odd chance that SweetPea XG may show up. It's her birthday, you know. Cheers, Friend.

Hi Phalon - good to see you again! it's 5pm here and dark already. Have been sitting at my desk and walked into the kitchen to make a cup of tea and was surprised that I couldn't see anything (entering the darkness from the light of my office, hitting my toe against the doorframe on the way in!) I did see it was XenaGab's birthday, and I mistakenly congratulated Xengab (with no 'a') by mistake. So, XenaGab, if you are listening, many happy returns!

Hi guys: Lizzbitt, thanks for the warm holiday wishes. Right back atcha!
Off to bed now, just popping in for a hot chocolate to set off those sleep hormones (not sure if that's the scientific explanation for what it does, but it sure makes me feel cosy!)
Eirene: did you win?
Night all xx

Morning all! How was your evening, Phalon - it sounded like it was going to be an exciting one...? My toe has stopped throbbing, but is not helped by the fact that I lost my two big-toe nails (they fell off after I went trekking in Andalucia: gross, I know). Hope I haven't put anyone off their breakfast/lunch/dinner. Let me all buy you a swift one in compensation. Will anyone join me in a chai tea morning awakener? Have a great day (mine is going to be spent reading in the comfy chair by the heater, and working up the motivation to go out in the cold and cycle to the supermarket. tough life, i know!)

P.S. Just a question for any European-based Xena fans dropping in for a drink (Eirene, Dixie - anybody else?): What DVDs of the series do you watch? I have the box sets, where each series comes in two parts, and they are in plain boxes, of different colours, with the Xena: Warrior Princess logo on the front. I've noticed on the episode polls that people talk about 'the commentary on the DVD', and I guess this must mean the zone 1 DVDs, because I don't have any special features at all on mine. Do you? Are there any European DVDs where you can get special features?
Sorry, that actually turned into several questions. Beers all round on me!

Thanks Eirene, I'll check it out on amazon.de Do you recommend getting this (I already have the actual episodes on DVD) or are the fan kit DVDs better for commentary? Off out on the bike now - have put it off long enough!

Uh-oh: they are just the versions I have (and I paid for season 4 today as well...!) How has everybody's day been? I just watched Adventures in the Sin Trade 1 and 2 and A Family Affair (all new episodes for me, so it was great - it looks like the creature from the Ring Cycle made an earlier appearance in a slightly different form!) Off to find some dinner now, see you in the tavern later

It would be nice if they would put all the Hercules/Xena commentaries, bloopers, extras, bonuses, etc. on DVDs by themselves, for those who didn't get them, so that they can do so without having to rebuy the seasons as well. Maybe people should write in and beg for this to happen somewhere down the line.

Good idea, Joxcenia. I'll gladly write in - maybe we should start a 'bonus features DVDs wanted' list?
It's looking misty and cold outside today. Am shivering in my PJs. Make mine a large coffee - anyone joining me?

Catcob, have you been sending your weather this way? Same here - misty, cold and drippy. A perfect day to stay inside, and uhmm...clean house. Ick. I can always take time out for a cup of coffee though....if the dust bunnies will stop attacking long enough to let me drink it.
Have a great Friday, all.
