Darn, Eiren. Looks like I missed you, but I'll take a cup of coffee, thanks.
Goregous day today; sunny and a lot cooler; in the low seventies. It was fifty-two degrees this morning when I went roller-skiing. A little brisk on my bare legs.
Later all. Enjoy your Wednesday. I looove Wednesdays.

You're very welcome Phalon!! I MUST tell you, we were in Durham in a botanic garden ( really very, very nice ) and there was a Araucaria - 220 years old!! That was a monster!!! I've only to bind the little ones when they're sold, you know. And they always stitch my fingers/ hands (ouch...*a bad word* ouch again... *another bad word*) ... but this one, the stem was smooth like a baby's butt. I was - and I am still - very impressed. Wanna have a coffee?

Always ready for coffee, thanks.
Hhhmmmm.....trying to remember, but I don't think I've ever seen an Araucaria; they are not cold hardy here. I've read though, that they can live up-wards of a thousand years!
Went to visit a botanical garden here last week too. Well, not exactly; but it might as well have been. A couple of customers of ours invited us to tour their gardens. They've been featured in quite a few magazines....absolutely amazing. Colonnades, a birch alley, tons of fountains, and hidden statuary, secret rooms down meandering paths. Tropicals, combined with natives....all very formally laid out; but a very casual feel. Made me want to over-haul my entire yard....a very fleeting thought, cuz I have no staff of gardeners to do the work!
Which reminds me; I should be planting the stuff I brought home two weeks ago, which has sat next to my garage since.
Sigh.

Hi Phalon, Joxie, Eirene ....that Araucaria sounds really interesting...I think I must google it to find out more....our garden is so boring compared to that. I planted a Wisteria bush and a Choke-berry tree today out back.. My parents are visiting from Toronto for the week...it's great to see them with their only grandson-they're so happy...its a little difficult having one's parents stay for so long though....of course when they're gone, I'm sure I'll miss them.... It's too late for coffee...anybody for some tea?
