You're So Vain - Lot's of speculation over the years, but in November 2015, Carly Simon said that the song is about three men - not one. And then she confirmed that the second verse is about Warren Beatty. The other two verses refer to still-unnamed men.

"clouds in my coffee" - the line from "You're So Vain" that Hubs and I sing every so often with a slight adjustment; when the occasional coffee filter becomes askew during the brewing process, we end up with "Grounds in the coffee, grounds in the coffee".

I thought for a very long time that the phrase was related to creamer being released in coffee, but in fact clouds in my coffee is quite literal. The phrase originated during a flight with her friend Billy Mernit. Billy was sitting next to her on the aisle while she had the window seat. Mernit noticed the clouds from the window reflecting in her coffee and mentioned it.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Wasn't that whole album a 'reflection' of a man losing his mind?

I never thought he was losing his mind as much as I thought he was depressed reflecting on all the cr@ppy things in his life (bricks). The "bricks" make up the wall he's built around himself - the wall keeps getting higher until it shuts everything out. In the end, he breaks out and the wall comes crashing down.

I've never heard that one.
Timothy Leary...we have an extremely weird family tradition related to the song "Legend of a Mind" by the Moody Blues and Timothy Leary, but no time to explain now. Gotta run.

The Word by the Moody Blues - I would have said Om but Joxcee used that one so I used the thing that precedes it.

I prefer Grease 2. I like Olivia Newton John, but Michelle Pfeiffer on top of a ladder is burned deep in my memory.

stepper: You are most welcome.
Funny, but that video brought up memories of Sunny Day and the camp Hercules and the crew went to.
