It's My Party - Lesley Gore
It wasn't a bad song for its time, but the lyrics have always struck me as inane: "It's my party, and I'll cry if I want to"

My first thought was On the Floor followed by Caleb Johnson (winner of American Idol) because it was fun watching her dance to him rocking out, but after a bit of thought, is has to be:
Selena (Quintanilla)
Trivia: in the movie, JLo actually sang the grand total of three words. She had to sing and dance while doing the audition, but the film used the real Selena’s singing voice for all the songs.

American Pie - Don McLean
The song about "the day the music died" - on February 3, 1959, rock and roll musicians Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J. P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson were all killed in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa.

Lynyrd Skynyrd....whose rented plane crashed, killing band members Ronnie Van Zant, brother and sister Steve and Cassie Gaines, the band's road manager, and the plane's pilot and co-pilot. Surviving band and crew members were severely injured.

Bill Payne - considered to be one of the best rock/blues keyboardists, and co-founder (with Lowell George) of Little Feat. The first song that always comes to my mind when I think of piano songs is "Dixie Chicken".
