Okay, have to give some really big hints then.
Show is current, the main clue is the brother [ who's the shows main character ] with the dark secret, it's a "really" dark secret, lethal injection dark if ever discovered.

Kat. I'm thinking only you and I watch this show. Wait til you see the finale of this lastest season! My lips are sealed.

Yeah, thought it was fairly easy, but seeing as how I think it's the best thing that's been on tele for ages I guess I would think that.
That finale sounds pretty dramatic, be a while before we see it here though, we're just two episodes in down here.

Then you have 11 eps to go. So I guess you won't get to ep 13 until about February. Seriously, I think this has been the best season yet.
Debra Morgan ... sister to "Dexter".
I'll try and have something in the next day or two.

Ahh, I got it with this clue. But I see Joxie's beaten me to it. I started watching Dexter about the end of the first series. Then I seem to have got sidetracked by other things.

Yep, a while to go yet Jox, and the more the merrier I say. Funny, it's like a good book, you want to get to the next page as quickly as possible but also want to drag it out as long as you can because you don't want it to finish. Gee if this is better then the first three seasons I've really got something to look forward to; the first two eps' have been excellent, episode three tonight.

You want to try catching up with it again mate, shows of this quality don't crop up all that often. Well quality in my opinion I should add, you might find it a load of cobblers I guess.

I run my town by my own rules, and many residents pay the price when dealing with me.
I stick my nose in everyone's business & offer advice and help ... which comes with a price.
I'd like to train my son in my ways, but his dead sister stops me at every turn.
Who Am I?
If you don't have an answer, ask me a question.

Can't think of the name, but would you be from the show that had the kid with the heavy accent, think his name was Lucas Black?

Close enough.
American Gothic
Sheriff Lucas Buck
The kid's name is: Caleb Temple

Ahhh that's the one, only watched it in bits an pieces.
While we're talking television, what do you think of the second season of True Blood?
Enjoyed the first but halfway through the second it seemed to go right off the rails I thought.

Yeah, the MaryAnn thing went on for far too long. And in the book, her name is Callisto. She didn't have such a huge role in the book. And she and Sam were lovers who liked to run around the woods in animal form.

Hope they follow the books more closely in future then Jox, not only did it seem to drag on forever as you say but I thought it was pretty corny as well, especially the scenes with Jason and Detective Bellefleur which were more like a Laurel and Hardy comedy then a serious drama.
Pity because I enjoyed season one, and season two for a while as well.

Sorry to disappoint you, but they plan to get further away from the books. The books are written in first person, and you only get Sookie's point of view ... so anything that she isn't a part of pretty much is created by the show's PTB. The first two books were on the slow side, and they picked up after that, so I'm hoping that will be the way of the TV series.
In the books, Elvis is a vampire, but he had so much drugs in his system that something went horribly wrong and he ain't quite right. He drinks animal blood instead of human blood. He's pretty funny. Book Bill is more of a jerk, and book Eric has a wicked sense of humor and is more lovable.
It was Eric who saved Sookie from the vampire in season one while Bill just stood by, doing nothing. And Sookie saved herself against the killer.
I like TV Bill, but I wish they'd kept Eric's wicked sense of humor on the show. Maybe they're hiding it until season three, and then they rev up the competition between Bill and Eric.

The same as "Dexter" then Jox, they're written in the first person, and the first season of the show stuck fairly close to the first book then completely went it's own way.
In this case though it's a good thing because the shows are better then the books, so hopefully the writers of True Blood can lift their game next season and at least get bact to the much darker feel it had in season one.
Agree about Eric, arguably the most complex and interesting character in the show.
Hey are Detective Bellefleur and Terry, the bloke who works at the diner, brothers, was checking the cast on IBDb and noticed they have the same surname, hadn't picked up on that.
Also, have you ever seen a show called Carnivale, be interested in your thoughts if so.

The two Bellefleurs are cousins.
I've not seen Carnivale, but I do have it in my Netflix queue. I can't remember how far down on the list it is. Right now I'm on season two of Remington Steele. I loved that show and got peeved at Pierce when he left the show to do James Bond. I don't like James Bond, so I haven't seen his performance.
So strange watching old shows and catching yourself thinking: "Why are you looking for a pay phone? Just use your cell phone!" "Oh, yeah, you don't have those yet. Nevermind. Carry on."

Thanks Jox. Strange show "Carnivale" but it holds the interest, was reading the IMDb message boards for it and unfortunately it appears it ends without resolving all the plot lines, must have been canceled unexpectedly. Yeah technology gets away from us don't it.

You're very welcome. And yeah. When I rewatch shows that aren't really all that old, I do forget they're behind the times. Whereas, if I'm watching something before my time, or when I was very young, I know they don't have all the gadgets we have now.

BEWARE Y E S T H I S M E A N S Y O U YOU'VE BEEN WARNED ....... Ritas death, didn't see that coming and I ain't very happy about it I can tell you. Excellent season though [ as usual ] be interesting to see in what direction they take season five.

Yeah I was a nervous wreck all through the show as I usually am with the season finale, cause you never know what's going to happen, but when he sent her off in the taxi I thought she was gonna be okay, how wrong was I.
Hate it when they make changes to my favourite shows, especially one as mayor as killing off a main character.

Sounds like Wanted: Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen - he used a holstered, sawed-off rifle.
